Trillions of years ago there rested a glorious realm, roughly translated as The Realm Of Seven Islands. It is here that the Fae lived in orb forms, harnessing the power of the planet. However, the Fae experienced many difficulties in this realm. Monsters, unfathomable to the human eye, paraded their lands, destroying their sustenance. The Fae, though powerful, were unable to defeat their enemies. It seemed that their powers were drained with no way to restore their own energy. The planet slowly crumbled and the Fae faced near extinction.
A Fae by the name of Din discovered a new land in an entirely different realm, forged by the hand of God. It was called Earth. It was Din’s idea to travel to this realm in search for replenishment so that their home planet would not be destroyed. With their two siblings Fafore and Naryu, Din traveled to this realm and landed in what is today known as Athoria.
This planet was completely ridden of monsters and seemed like a safe place for the Fae while their planet fell to the hands of the beasts. For one million years the Fae remained on Earth, though some Fae stayed in their dying realm, fearful of this new land. But those that remained had faith that they would find the energy they needed to restore their planet. The Fae siblings carved this new world to their liking, however the original country in which they had landed was heavily warded and protected, as it held the only portals back to the Realm of Seven Islands. They kept Athoria secret and safe as Earth began to progress around them.
The First Era: ~3500 Years Ago
One million years later, God created the first humans. Lucifer, an angel of the Lord, fell from grace due to his jealousy of the human race. A large battle between the angels of Heaven and Lucifer’s followers began, causing others to fall from grace as well. As such, a realm called Hell was created, and it is there that Lucifer was banished forever, unable to walk the plane of Earth ever again. The Watcher’s were sent from Heaven to look over the humans, yet they fell unto Lucifer’s sins and bred with the humans instead, creating the Nephilum. Uriel was cast down as God's only Watcher to eliminate all children born with angelic blood. This spanned generations in some cases, but every Nephilum born was removed.
In addition, over the many years, the Fae decided to take advantage of this human race and begin to breed with them as well. God granted the Fae humanoid shapes, and it allowed the Fae to float easily between their orb and their now human body. There were two types of creations that became of the Fae breeding with the humans. If a female Fae became pregnant, then the outcome resulted in an Elf. If a female human became pregnant from a male Fae, then the outcome resulted in a gifted human (non-immortal)
The City of Fern was created specifically for the new elven race, a place for these creatures to call their own outside of prying human eyes. Fern was placed in a region called The Wasteland and is completely hidden, even to their Fae relatives, to this day. Gifted humans began to flourish in the world. The Fae returned home with these 'souls' and used their energy to bring their realm back to its glorious life.
The Second Era: ~1500 Years Ago
Centuries went by and the Earth began to become active with human life. These humans spread themselves all over the globe, but most flocked to a country called Vinsor while another large population remained tucked away in the original country that Din, Fafore and Naryu had kept hidden and safe. The people of the hidden country were unaware of any outside lands besides their own.
It was then that Lucifer found a way to emerge his newest creations onto the earthen realm. Four original demons escaped the clutches of Hell and began to wander the Earth. These demons became the first vampires. One original demon emerged in the hidden country and rested inside the caves of the Verasova Mountains in exile.
At the same time, Mother Gaia was hard at work. She created a specie that could take on the form of a wolf under the full moon, and shift to a human body whenever it wished. These werewolves were scattered throughout the world, but the most prominent group remained in the hidden country alongside their now gifted human and Fae neighbors. Alastair of Anshega Pack was of the first to transform into a humanoid form.
The Third Era: ~30 Years Ago
At a much later time, the tyrant Vinsor “discovered” the “vacant” country that the Fae siblings had hidden and protected for so long and decided to expand his kingdom and claim the large island for himself. Vinsor lead a deafening army to the eastern shores and won his first battle at Dragos, where he slay the Dragon Priests there. Unknown to Vinsor, the country had already been inhabited by many other supernatural and humans, who were unaware that other lands even existed outside of their own. These creatures of the country did not have a ruler or King, and they did not abide to any specific law. Unimpressed by Vinsor’s need to take over, Franco Athor, who sailed with Vinsor initially, banned together a rebellion that smashed the evil King and all of his subjects. Defeated, Vinsor sailed back to his country and Franco Athor claimed the entire eastern side of the new country and dubbed it Athoria Region. Franco established the Monarchy and began to grow his new Kingdom.
It’s been thirty years since Franco Athor’s successful rebellion against the evil King Vinsor, and this is where our story starts. Unfortunately Franco Athor has recently drew his last breath and passed away, marking a sad yet enlightening time for Athoria Region. Franco’s heir and son, Nathaniel Athor, is sworn in to protect and uphold the laws of the Region, and although there is contemplation regarding his youth, the people of Athoria Region are ready to start a new generation of growth.
Meanwhile, the supernaturals of the country are still adjusting to their neighbors of the east and the new way of government that they live in. Some find excitement in the new and unknown while others continue to experiment with dark, demonic magic in order to prepare for wars to come.
The wolves of Anshega are weary of the infiltrating vampires in Brailston; the mages of The Coven of the Mighty Oak stay concerned with the dark mages working the black market in Leeds; the Fae of The Circle of Light are protective of their portals, and the humans seem to fall right into line with the growing Athor reign. While clans are established, alliances are forged, and trust is something to take with caution, the Athoria Region seems to have no intentions of stopping their expanding rule. Will Nathaniel Athor follow in his father’s footsteps and grow the region? Or will the supernaturals stop the monarchy before they are given the chance to expand?
